Akron is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Akron follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I wanted to share some feedback because I’ve noticed a recurring issue. I started coming here after being a loyal Handles customer, but I’m beginning to reconsider. The last time I visited, I ordered an attic twist with strawberry topping. A tiny bit of strawberry was only sprinkled on the very top and wasn’t mixed into the ice cream at all. I told her about it and she said it’s mixed in but after eaten a little bit there was no strawberry. I’ve also ordered sundaes on several occasions, and each time there was only a very small amount of topping added. This seems to be happening consistently, and it’s disappointing. Part of what makes these treats enjoyable is getting the toppings throughout the ice cream, not just a small amount on top. I saw a lady complain that her sundae only had a dab of chocolate. I hope this can be addressed because I’d really like to continue supporting your business. If not I’ll go back to handels or take the drive to scoops- they’re very generous on the toppings!

So, I just drove by Strickland's and saw today's flavor was black cherry. Yummy! I was really expecting that tangy, tart cherry flavor to jump out at me. It didn't. The ice cream itself was great: smooth and creamy as Strickland's is known for. But, it was actually kinda bland. I doubt I would have guessed black cherry if I was blindfolded. I just hope they haven't gone the way of sooo many businesses and started skimping on their ingredients to save a buck because there is a lot of competition out there.

One of my favorite places to get fresh ice cream! You can’t beat it! Definitely a must go to place if you haven’t visited before.

Went to Stricklands in Ellet and overall it was good. I ordered a Banana Split. It looked like if you ordered a cone then you got your ice cream quickly. Mine took a little while to come out, but I understand more effort goes into it. They didn't put my cherry on it originally and when I asked about it, they said it didn't come with one. There is literally a cherry in the picture on the menu board. She finally gave me one after I ponted it out. I think the ice cream scoops were a little small for a sundae that is $7.75 which is why I didn't give a 5 star. If there was a 4.5 star option I would have given it that.

This place is awesome. They always have amazing homemade ice cream and change the flavors every 3 days or so. I always stop every time I am in Akron. The Buckeye sunday is awesome. Customer service is great and portion sizes are huge. Don't forget about the banana split. Great place for kids and prices are cheap as well.
